Equipped to offer an impressive range of services, our experienced staff are all adept in providing excellence in surgical and medical care.  We're animal lovers too, so rest assured both you and your pet will always be treated with compassion and empathy.  Meet the team:

Drs Craig and Rebecca Goode

Craig and Rebecca have worked in small animal practice in Melbourne since graduating from the University of Queensland and have been practicing in the local area since 2004. They feel a strong bond to the animals and pet owners in Port Phillip, being residents in South Melbourne and then Middle Park themselves and keen participants in the local community.
Their five boys Angus, Daniel, Archer, Leon and Spencer keep them busy, along with their three dogs Lily, Patsy and Harry (the gentle giant Newfoundland). Since relocating to the country they have added a horse, a shetland pony, 7 Alpacas, two cats, two turtles, a pair of guinea pigs, ducks, chickens, some fish, and wait for it....  Miniature pigs.
Craig's professional interest lies in all aspects of surgery, both soft tissue and orthopaedic. Prior to working in general practice Craig completed an internship at the University of Melbourne. Apart from looking after the boys and their ever expanding zoo, Bec's area of interest is in veterinary medicine especially diagnostic imaging with ultrasound.

Dr Emma Prideaux

Emma graduated from the University of Melbourne with honours in 2000.  Subsequently she undertook an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, meeting Craig and Bec in the process. After having two children, Emma managed a vaccination business and locumed in small animal practice before joining the team. Emma is now one of the business owners and combines clinical work with practice management. Emma is our AQIS accredited veterinarian, meaning you will need to see her if you plan to take your animals overseas. When she is not busy with her children Emma likes to eat chocolate and read.

Dr Matt Blakey

Matt graduated from Vet School in New Zealand in 2002 and began working in mixed animal practice. For 5 years he roamed the countryside treating all sorts of creatures from deer and alpacas to dogs and rabbits before itchy feet saw him heading to the UK.
While working in the UK as a locum he began to focus more on domestic pets and in 2010, made the big move to Melbourne to settle into small animal practice. The sporting, social lifestyle, beaches and cafes in Melbourne have proven to be a strong lure and Matt now calls Australia home (unless NZ is playing).
In his spare time Matt is a competitive sailor and touch rugby player as well as being an avid fan of whatever sport is on the TV.
